Burnett Bathing Supports

The Burnett bathing support system has been developed to provide postural support in bathing situations. The supports are very simple to use, moulding like plasticine to form to the seating medium and client.

Description

Arguably some of the comfiest bath supports on the market, the Burnett Bathing Supports have been designed and developed to provide postural support through the bathing experience. These adjustable bath supports are easy to use; simply pop them in the tub, and they’ll mould to the shape of the individual sitting on them. Simply use the foot pump to increase airflow into the cushions, shaping them against the individual who is bathing.

One of the popular Burnett options is the standard back and side support unit. It can be used either as a back and neck rest with the sides supporting the hips, or the side lobes can be repositioned to accommodate the thorax. Alternatively, the back rest can be used as a head support, letting the individual lay totally reclined.

There is also the option of a bath seat with complete body support. This option is available in both adult and child sizes, and can support the back whilst allowing side-to-side flexibility for users with scoliosis. The seat can be adjusted and ramped to ensure that the user will not slip, and the flared sides provide a degree of lateral support.

The Harperbury Bath Mattress is an adjustable bath support that is self-regulating rather than offering vacuum support. The beads move effortlessly and freely to hug to contours of the body and cushion the user from what can sometimes be a hard bath surface. This is especially useful for individuals with little soft tissue.
