Yorkshire Care Equipment Makes a Splash with new Bathroom and Wetroom Adaptations

Yorkshire Care is very excited to announce that we are expanding to cover bathroom and wetroom adaptations, giving our customers an alternative to moving house if they’re struggling to access their bathroom.

We’ve even installed a demonstration wetroom and bathroom in the front window of our Harrogate showroom, giving customers to opportunity to see for themselves exactly what’s on offer to them. This includes a toilet, basin, bath, and even a level access shower complete with half-height doors.

David Jordan, Yorkshire Care’s showroom manager said:

“We had quite a few older clients come in and tell us that they were looking to move house because they had an upstairs bathroom and couldn’t access it as easily as they once did. Some of these people have lived in their homes for years and years, so it seems rather sad for them to have to move just because of accessibility.

“By offering bathroom and wetroom adaptations, we’re giving these customers an alternative which lets them stay in their homes, without compromising their quality of life.”

With two plumbers on the team, we can cover all aspects of the installation process for the client. We have also signed a distribution agreement with one of the top bathroom equipment manufacturers in the country and will be using their components to complete bathroom and wetroom fit-outs to the highest standard.

Yorkshire Care Equipment also offers free no-obligation home assessments for adaptations. This means that one of our trained assessment team will visit the client’s house, and carry out a short site survey. They will also discuss the options, and find out exactly what the client is looking for with everything from tiling and colour schemes, through to the type of boiler and water flow.

Our bathroom and wetroom specialist, Gordon Hulbert, said:

“A lot of thought goes into each part of the equipment required for every adaptation. When I go into a client’s home, I ask a lot of questions to ensure that they are getting something that is suitable for their present needs, but also something that will withstand the test of time and offer the same benefits a few years down the line.

“Making bathroom and wetroom adaptations part of Yorkshire Care’s services is a natural progression for us. And because we have such an understanding of mobility and access challenges, we can think not just of the finished aesthetic, but also the functionality for the actual individual.”
