The Yorkshire Care team will follow up your enquiry by arranging a no-obligation stairlift survey for a time that suits you. Our highly experienced stairlift specialist will then visit your home to look at your staircase and assess your needs. Once we understand your requirements, then we start discussing your budget and the available makes and models. When you have chosen a stairlift, we will take care of the ordering, delivery, and installation for you.

Stairlift Survey & Assessment
During the stairlift assessment, our trained specialist will survey your staircase – taking down the dimensions and making notes on the layout.
They will also get to know a bit more about you and how you plan to use the stairlift. If you’re a relative or carer looking at stairlifts on behalf of someone else, they will talk to you about the needs of the end user. Doing this helps them to gain important information, such as:
- What are your stairs like? Are they narrow or curved?
- Who is the stairlift for? What are their mobility levels?
- Is a stairlift actually the right choice for you? Would an alternative, like a through-floor lift, be better?
Expertise built over 30 years
Our in-house stairlift specialist has been completing surveys for three decades now. They’ve come across pretty much every scenario possible in that time. So, they know the right questions to ask to quickly learn what kind of stairlift will work for you.
They will also be happy to offer their expert advice on any questions you may have about stairlifts. Feel free to ask at any point during the survey!
All our assessments are free of charge. After the survey, you are under no obligation to buy a stairlift. This step is all about better understanding your needs.
Stairlifts for all budgets & staircases
Following on from the assessment, we recommend the stairlift models that we know meet your requirements. There’s no need to show you stairlifts for straight staircases when we know you have a curved staircase!
Yorkshire Care Equipment stock high-quality stairlifts from lots of top brands, like Minivator and Meditek. This means you get more choices within your price range. Plus, because we’re an authorised distributor, you’re not paying any more than if you went to the stairlift company directly.
We’ve tackled everything from extremely narrow staircases to complex curved ones – and everything in between – over the years. So, if we can’t find a solution that works for you, it'd very likely that no one can!
Finance options for stairlifts

Stairlift installation
Once you are happy with your stairlift choice, it’s time to place your order. We offer flexible delivery around your schedule.
On your delivery day, one of our friendly Yorkshire Care engineers will install your stairlift to the highest standards. Our engineering team have decades of experience and specialist training. So, they will make sure everything is in perfect working order and ready to use.
Servicing & Maintenance
Stairlifts should be serviced at least once a year to keep them in good working order.
That’s why Yorkshire Care offer ongoing servicing for every stairlift we sell. If you have any problems with your stairlift between services, don’t worry. We can also arrange one-off maintenance callouts.
Just give us a call on 01423 799960 and a member of our team will arrange for one of our engineers to come and see you as soon as possible. They can then diagnose any issues and organise repairs to get your stairlift back up and running.

Stairlifts for Straight Staircases:
Simplicity Plus
The Simplicity Plus straight stairlift boasts all the standard features you would expect plus the added bonus to switch to a powered swivel seat and/or folding footplate if desired. If there’s an obstruction close to the bottom of the staircase, the Simplicity Plus can be fitted with a manually operated hinged track or the unique SlideTrack to make light work of this.
Simplicity
The Simplicity straight stairlift offers you all the basic functions that you would expect from a stairlift and, if you have a doorway close to the base of the stairs, you can choose from a manually operated hinged track or the unique SlideTrack.
Handicare 1000
The Handicare 1000 straight stairlift offers all the basic functions that you would expect plus the option to upgrade to a powered seat swivel and/or folding footplate. With a choice of six upholstery colours the Handicare 1000 will compliment most colour schemes.
Stairlifts for Curved Staircases:
Handicare 2000
The Handicare 2000 stairlift suits most staircases with bends or corners, and offers you all the basic functions that you would expect plus the option to upgrade to a powered seat swivel and/or folding footplate.
